What is included with my car hire in Bristol?

What age do I need to be to rent a car in Bristol?
The minimum age to rent a car is 21 years old. At certain suppliers, some car categories will only be rented to those aged over 23 and those aged over 25. Some suppliers may also charge a young driver fee which will apply to drivers who are aged between 21 and 24 years old (normally £10 per day), this will be noted during the booking process and is usually payable when you pick up your car.

Where do I pick up and drop off my car?
We offer car rental at a wide range of locations around Bristol and the Gloucestershire and Somerset regions. The address of where you can pick up and drop off your car can be seen during the booking process and will also be noted on your car hire voucher once you have made a reservation. Our straightforward booking system will also allow you to filter out any rental locations that you don't want to use.

Who provides your cars?
We have relationships with the leading car rental brands in Bristol which includes Alamo, Avis, Hertz, Thrifty and others to guarantee rental car availability and offer a great variety of car sizes and specifications. What are your opening hours?
Opening hours are variable and depend upon each individual car hire location. To make things easier, you will be able to see the opening hours of a location during the booking process or on your car hire voucher after you have made a reservation.

When will my payment get taken?
Normally we will take a small deposit (usually 15% but the exact amount will be shown during the booking process) from your credit or debit card at the time of reservation. Any balance which remains is payable by credit or debit card when you pick up the car, directly to your chosen rental location.

What should I bring with me when I collect my rental car?
You must bring your full driving licence (both the photocard and the paper part if you have a new style licence) along with two forms of identification which have to show your current address and one other form of photographic identification (example - a bank statement, a utility bill and your passport). You must also bring a valid credit or debit card which will be used to take any remaining payment for the car along with a security deposit hold.

Can I add an additional driver to my car?
Yes, you can have up to 4 additional drivers added to your car rental. In most cases there will be an additional charge for this which is normally payable at time of collection. If you have forgotten to add an additional driver when you made your reservation, don't panic as you will be able to add the driver at time of collection. Additional drivers must bring the same documents as the main driver (which are listed above).

I need a satellite navigation system with my car hire? Is this possible?
Absolutely, you can hire a satellite navigation system with your car rental. You can either choose to do this during the booking process or add it to your car hire when you collect the vehicle (we suggest that you select this option when you book your car as satellite navigation is subject to availability).

I am renting a car for business purposes, can you provide me with a VAT receipt?
When you collect your rental car at your chosen location you will be given a full VAT invoice/receipt.
